The first Romanian Electricity Laboratory (Iasi, 1910) was founded at the Faculty of Sciences, which became the Electrotechnical Institute, at “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University (1913); it was organized by Dragomir Hurmuzescu (1865-1954), member of the European scientific societies (Germany, France), of the Romanian Academy (1916) and of the National Academy of Science in Romania.
